Randoe Suriname was founded in 1954 by mr. G.A. Dilweg. Randoe started as a mattress factory, where the mattresses were filled with Java kapok which was imported from Indonesia. The tree which produces the Java kapok is called Randoe. The Randoe tree is in the same family of trees as the Kankantrie which is well known in Suriname.
We still manufacture mattresses in all sizes, but we have grown into a manufacturer of furniture made from Amazonian solid timber, harvested in Suriname. Wood is a natural product that is unique, so each item produced by our factory can be called one-of-a-kind.
The timber with which we work has been dried in one of our professional kilns. We process the timber and assemble the pieces using high quality hardware imported from Europe. We have professional lacquer spray rooms where we apply lacquer or paint to finish our wooden products. We work with matte lacquer, gloss lacquer, wood stain and lacquer paint. Our upholstery division provides the cherry on top.
Our collection is for sale in our showroom and consists of furniture designed by Randoe. In addition, our store also sells imported decor, lamps, rugs, custom-made curtains and more.
We also manufacture custom-made-furniture for customers wishing for a furniture piece designed for and by them. We also repair or refurbish furniture. We have the expertise for refurbishing antique furniture. And our upholstery department can re-upholster your piece with fresh fabric, making your furniture new again and adding years of enjoyment.
We are working on continuous quality improvement to provide the best products to our customers. A satisfied customer comes back, and we like to see our customers return.
